Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FBM Game Trivia (the “Service”, “we”, “us”), operated by [Operating Entity, e.g. We Are Live / NRK Media], handles information when you take part in our interactive trivia game broadcast on Facebook Live.

1. Information we access

You take part by leaving a public comment (an answer such as A, B, C, or D) on our Facebook Live videos. When you do, we access the following through Meta’s official Graph API, using a Page access token granted by an administrator of the Facebook Page:

Your public Facebook display name;
Your public Facebook profile picture;
The content of your comment on the live video (used only to read your A/B/C/D answer).

We do not access your email address, phone number, friends list, private messages, or any non-public information, and we never post, comment, or send messages on your behalf.

2. How we use your information

To register your answer to the current trivia question;
To calculate scores and rankings;
To display a live leaderboard—which may show your public name and profile picture—on the broadcast.

Participation is voluntary: you choose to comment on a public live video.

3. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising. Data flows only between Facebook (Meta) and our game system for the purpose of running the game.

4. Data retention

Game data (your public name, profile-picture URL, answers, and score) is kept only as long as needed to run and review the game and its results, and is then deleted. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, total number of players) may be kept for reporting.

5. How to request deletion of your data

You may ask us to delete the information associated with you at any time. Email privacy@weearelive.com with the Facebook name you used to play, and we will delete your associated game data. You can also remove our app’s access to your Facebook information at any time in your Facebook Settings → Business Integrations.

6. Use of the Facebook Platform

Our use of information received from Meta’s APIs follows Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies. FBM Game Trivia is not endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta or Facebook.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over secure (HTTPS) connections and access to game data is restricted to authorized operators. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
